The Trilogy Tribe

Every studio has a story. Meet the people currently writing our Trilogy.

Erin Anthony Wallace

Owner/Head Engineer

Why do you do what you do?

For the love of music and all that it can change. I am passionate about empowering others and teaching what I know.

What part of Trilogy Sound Studio excites you the most?

What excites me the most is the chance to cultivate my musicianship and work with a very creative team that has and will continue to grow organically.

What’s your favourite production/mixing trick?

I love using a technique in production where I play a melody in MIDI on a keyboard, then reverse the MIDI notes and then bounce to audio. And finally, reverse the audio. This way when played, you hear the original un-reversed melody but it sounds reversed, pretty fun, creative discretion is advised.

Why did you want to become a musician/artist/engineer?

I’ve always had a passion for music as far back as I can remember. I noticed when I was young that if I couldn’t hear a song at a proper volume, my mind filled in the blanks with its own melodies and that was fascinating to me. I became a classically trained pianist and French horn player and later on discovered my love for beat and music production. It wasn’t until recently (2017) that I began a path as an audio engineer and it all led me to the production, engineering, and instruction path here at Trilogy Sound Studio.

What does your art explore, underneath everything?

My music explores a deep sense of longing and tries to investigate our relationship with the stars and cosmos. I want my music to paint a landscape of ultimate joy, sadness, mystery, and wonder.

What are you besides an artist?

I am also an IT Systems Administrator for a CPA in Bethesda Maryland. I’ve been working in the tech field for over 13 years and have experienced a lot. I took what I learned from the industry and brought it over to help build the studio here in Burke, VA.

What accomplishments do you see yourself achieving in 10 years?

In ten years, I see myself as a father and successful studio/business owner with artist credits, and my music placed in major video games and involved in several scientific research projects. I want to see our studio on the map as a highly respectable and sought-after professional recording and full music services studio.

Describe your creative process

Honestly, I do something different every time I sit down because every time I sit down, my head is in a different spot and I don’t know what will inspire me or get me going on a song or beat. I go with the flow and whatever catches, catches.
